Craftaholics Anonymous - Handmade Gift Exchange ( My Entry!)

I'm fairly new when it comes to crafting or making things home-made. I have dabbled in clay crafts as well as some art projects. But I felt like everything I made was nothing to be used.  So I thought I good kick-starter for my journey into useable crafts was joining in the Craftaholics Anonymous Handmade Craft Exchange. In this exchange you make a craft for someone else, and then someone completely different makes one for you! Its a great way to network and well.. make stuff, and we all know I love stuff.

I really wanted to sew something.. but wasn't sure what to make. I had a 'secret Q&A' with the person I was creating for and asked her what she likes to do, what colors she likes, about her life and a bunch of other informative questions. I found out she loves to cook and try recipes and she loves neutrals with pops of color. So I thought.. APRON!! I have to make an apron. But.. alas I did not know how to make an apron, so with the help of my husband's grandmother we created a one of a kind apron fit for any woman who is fashionable and queen in the kitchen.

Aluminyze - Review & Giveaway
Aluminyze is an amazing company that has revolutionized the way we display our favorite photos. Instead of printing our photos on paper that could easily get damaged Aluminyze infuses aluminum sheets with your photo. The product of these two components is a vibrant piece of art that not only looks beautiful but it also enhances our photos.

There are many options to pick from when deciding how to display your aluminyze creation.
  • First pick a size
    • Basic shapes from 8"x 10",11"x 14", 16"x 20", and 20"x 30"
    • Heart Shapes from 11" & 16" in diametere
  • Second pick a Fixture
    • Easel (which is included with 8"x 10" and 11"x14")
    • Wall Float (included with 16"x20" and larger)
    • Acrylic Pedestal (sold separately)
  • Third pick a Surface
    • Silver surface ( Adds an amazing transparent effect and turns whites to metallic )
    • White Surface (Greater depth of color and superior contrasts)
  • Fourth pick a Finish
    • Glossy (Full brilliance of the Aluminyzed photo)
    • Matte ( Subtler and softer)
I was lucky enough to review an 8"x 10" with a wall float in glossy silver. The results are amazing and look beautiful on my Tiffany Blue wall in my dining room. I've received so many compliments on this beautiful piece. The aluminum just takes over turning all that was once white to shining silver. I definitely see myself purchasing some more pieces not only for myself but for family as well.

Aluminyze was such a great company to work with and they have allowed me to giveaway one 11"x 14" aluminyzed photo of the winner's choice. Just enter using the Rafflecopter widget below!
